Francesco Dellamorte es el cuidador del cementerio en el pequeño pueblo de Buffalora en Italia. Un cementerio que dice “RESVRRECTVRIS” justo en la entrada. Francesco no sólo tiene que lidiar con la soledad y el desprecio que tiene hacia los vivos, también debe aniquilar a los muertos que reviven cada noche para tocar a su puerta. Junto con su asistente mudo y casi autista Gnaghi, Francesco mantiene orden en el cementerio hasta que los vivos empiezan a meter la nariz desencadenando una seria de reflexiones en la cabeza de Francesco. Su relación con los vivos podría ser aún más peligrosa que su relación con los muertos, e incluso una persona normal, podría resultar más peligrosa que un muerto viviente.

Cemetery Man

This movie is based on a novel of Tiziano Sclavi, and it always reflects the "sclavian philosophy" diffused by the most succesful comics in Italy: Dylan Dog, the detective of the nightmare. There is the duality between love and dead ( in Italian "dellamore" means "of love" and "dellamorte" means "of death" ), a duality that Dellamorte feels in a really hard way. He is the guardian of the cemetery of Buffalora, a little town in the north of Italy, in which, we don't know why, corpses rise from tombs and Dellamorte has to destroy them. Dellamorte seems not to ask to himself why this happen, he shoots and loves. But at the end he wants to leave Buffalora...

Francesco Dellamorte, gardien de cimetière, est fort occupé à se débarrasser des cadavres qui reviennent à la vie et troublent sa quiétude. Son unique compagnon, Gnaghi, obèse et muet, l'aide à s'en sortir. Un jour, le garçon croise une jeune veuve d'une grande beauté et se décide à la séduire.
