Ku Kyung-nam (Kim Tae-woo) nunca ha dirigido una película de éxito comercial, pero es un favorito de los críticos - conocido en el extranjero y respetado en Corea. Invitado a participar en el jurado de un festival de cine, Ku pronto se da cuenta que el evento tiene poco que ver con el amor por el cine. Chicas guapas de la organización del festival le presentan críticos superficiales de cine y otros profesionales de la industria, que lo llevan a proyecciones en donde casi todos los miembros del jurado roncan ruidosamente delante de la pantalla mientras se recuperan de largas noches llenas de alcohol. De hecho, charlar en las fiestas y beber soju parecen ser las principales actividades del festival. Vagando borracho y sin rumbo por la ciudad, Ku se encuentra con un viejo amigo que insiste en invitarlo a cenar. Este inesperado encuentro lleva a un epílogo aún menos predecible con torpes acontecimientos cómicos como telón de fondo. Días más tarde, en un balneario en otra parte del país, nuestro antihéroe se reunirá con otro viejo amigo - su mentor, quien se ha casado con su antigua amante de la universidad.

Ku Kyung-nam (Kim Tae-woo) has never directed a commercially successful film, but he is a critics' darling – known abroad and respected at home. Invited to serve on the jury of the Jecheon International Music and Film Festival, Ku soon realizes that the event has little to do with the love of film. Pretty ladies from the festival organization introduce him to superficial film critics and other industry professionals, luring him into screenings where almost all of the jurors snore noisily in front of the screen as they recover from long, alcohol-fuelled nights. In fact, schmoozing at parties and drinking soju seem to be the main festival activities. While aimlessly wandering about town with a hangover and existentialist ponderings, Ku meets an old friend who insists he come over for dinner. This unexpected encounter leads to an even less predictable epilogue set against a backdrop of awkwardly comic events. Days later at a seaside resort in another part of the country, our anti-hero will meet yet another old friend – his mentor, who has married his former lover from college...
