La sospecha de que una cantante de cabaret forma parte de un grupo subversivo es suficiente para que sea secuestrada, convertida en prisionera política y torturada en Polonia. Los signos son el caos, el desorden y la pérdida de una individualidad para convertirse en pieza insignificante de la maquinaria del poder. Ryszard Bugajski realizó “Interrogatorio” (1982) con el objeto de manifestar el hastío ante una sociedad hiperrepresiva como la de Polonia en la era de la ley marcial del 82, año aciago que añadió represalias a las ya existentes.

Interrogation

Poland, 1951. Tonia (Krystyna Janda) is a cabaret singer. One night she gets very drunk and wakes up in a prison cell. She is asked to give evidence against a former lover. She refuses, and the authorities try to break her through a long process of brutality and intimidation.
