Dos hombres en Manhattan

Sin ninguna razón aparente, un diplomático francés que trabaja en la sede de la ONU de Manhattan desaparece. Tratando de encontrar alguna pista sobre su paradero o sobre las misteriosas causas que le obligaron a abandonar la ciudad, los periodistas franceses Moreau y Delmas se trasladan a Nueva York.

Two Men in Manhattan

The primary protagonists in this drama are two French journalists, Delmas (Pierre Grasset) and Moreau (Jean-Pierre Melville, the director), and also the city of New York at night. The two journalists are on the trail of a story -- a French diplomat has disappeared from the U.N. for no apparent reason. As they wander through the city tracking down the reason for the disappearance, the journalists eventually discover that the diplomat has met with foul play.

A New York, un journaliste de AFP, aidé d'un photographe alcoolique, est chargé d'enquêter sur la disparition d'un diplomate français. Les deux hommes trouvent trois photos où le diplomate apparaît en compagnie de trois femmes différentes. Ils vont alors essayer de retrouver ces femmes…
